We hope you and your families are keeping safe and following the Governments guidelines.
Since we had to stop training, we have been constantly reviewing our finances and as you will have seen we have offered a reduction in fees or a fee style holiday to all our members.
We have also been reviewing all the squads including our Social Swim group which was to be reviewed after 6 months. We have looked at attendance numbers, what we were paying in pool hire and also what we were paying for a coach to be there for some coaching advice. Unfortunately this group has not been as popular as what we thought it was going to be and is running at a loss, we had advertised using various methods, social media, our meet programmes, advertised through the University, but this still did not attract the numbers which we thought it would.
We have unfortunately had to make the decision to stop this group as from now. Stopping any new venture is not an easy decision but with what is going on in the world at the moment and to ensure the clubs survival we have to look at what we can do to help this happen. Please remember to cancel your monthly standing order.
We have been looking at ways that we can maybe continue this group but using pool time that we already have, this is something that will need to be reviewed and discussed upon our return we will notify you of any new arrangements as soon as we can.
Thank you for helping to try and make this group work and hopefully you enjoyed the time that you had and found the coaching advice that Ryan offered helpful.
The other new venture that we started at the same time was a Teamipswich Masters Squad, this has proved popular and will continue to be run once we are allowed to return to training. If you are interested in having trial, please email Ryan on the Masters email address of email@example.com . Please don’t be put off by knowing that some of the old club swimmers train there is a range of abilities within the squad.
